The purpose of this course is to present an Integrative/Holistic management of pain and suffering with Yoga, Pranayama (breathing practices), and meditation. This seminar is based on the definition of health. World health Organization (WHO) defines Health as a state of complete physical, mental, and social, well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. In this course, you will understand how Yoga, Pranayama, and Meditation give Integrative/Holistic approach for the management of emotional/mental/physical pain and suffering. This approach gives us a sense of well-being and not just disease-less-ness. According to the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS), which included a comprehensive survey on the use of complementary health approaches by Americans, Yoga is the sixth most commonly used complementary health practice among adults.
